Raymond McGlamery
Raymond McGlamery has spent much of his life in and around the music industry. At age 10, he attended his first concert, the last Creedence Clearwater Revival tour, and it forever changed his view. At the young age of 14 he was already photographing rock and country stars for MCA records in Houston and attended every show he could. Working for promoters and artists throughout his teens set him up to be a college rep for CBS Records, (now Sony/BMG), while attending The University of Texas – Austin earning his degree in Radio/Television and Film. After college he spent several years in Dallas producing concerts for Pace Concerts, 462 Entertainment and his own company as well as managing artists. He worked for Rainbow-Ticketmaster as Head of Marketing for three years where he learned about and brokered strategic partnerships and sponsorships before deciding to get back into the music industry. His hire at Island Records in 1990 was the first of a number of stops at record labels, including Hollywood, (The Walt Disney Company), 550 Music, (Sony), Priority Records, (now EMI) and Restless Records. His last stop in his label positions came as Vice President Promotion for Warner Bros. /Reprise Records, a position he held for 7 years until the end of 2006. Throughout his career he has worked with such seminal artists as Green Day, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Ice Cube, Disturbed, U2, Filter and Kenny Wayne Shepherd to name but a few. His experiences in the industry have all led him to have strong relationships with the artists and he has a keen understanding of their needs and strengths. DARE allows him to bring the wealth of his knowledge to a company that will encompass all aspects of his experience.
