ABOUT ME
Liz Elam is an entrepreneur. In addition to preparing to open Link Coworking in Austin, Texas, Liz recently launched Pixzz.com, a website for women. Liz is a former Global Account Manager with Dell Inc. While running a highly successful multi-million dollar business from her home office for 9 years in Atlanta, Liz had the idea for a professional space that provided meeting space, connectivity, privacy and collaboration. Liz had often found herself jockeying for position at Starbucks, speaking in hushed tones and looking over her shoulder. If not at Starbucks she was renting expensive hotel conference space or working in relative isolation at her home office. So, after leaving Dell and taking a hiatus in Italy (to decompress from working in corporate America), Liz relocated to Austin with the vision of opening a space. After a little research she discovered that this movement already existed: it was called Coworking. Liz is a founding member of the Texas Coworking Congress (a collaboration between all the Coworking businesses in Texas) and was recently interviewed for the Examiner.com about Coworking. Liz is also a member of the Austin Cosmopolitan Rotary Club and will be on the board starting in June.
