After teaching English and writing computer manuals for 45 years, I became a certified personal trainer and founded Strengthmobile, LLC, to help the elderly and disabled regain and maintain some of their strength, balance, aerobic capacity, and mobility. I teach classes at senior centers and conduct one-on-one in-home exercise sessions. After co-authoring "Feeling Good: Strength Training with Your Significant Elder," I went from couch potato at age 69 to triathlete, half marathoner, and amazing racer at age 71.
