RISE Participation and Associated Fees
- RISE is designed to be an educational conference that is free to all participants.
- Because RISE sessions are designed to be small gatherings in order to promote maximum
information exchange and relationship building, attendance for each session is limited.
Each seat that is secured for a participant means one less seat for other registrants.
In order to ensure that those who register for the sessions will actually attend
and honor their commitment, a fee will be charged for only those that register but
do not attend.
- If a participant registers and attends the session that they registered for, no
fee will be charged.
- If a participant registers and does not attend the session, a fee of $20 per session
will be charged.
- If a participant registers but then discovers they are not able to attend and cancels
their registration 36 hours (3 days) prior to the session, they will not be charged.
- If a participant registers but then discovers that they are not able to attend and
cancels their registration less than 36 hours (3 days) prior to the session, they
will be charged $20 per session.
- Refunds for amounts charged that do not fall within the 36-hour / 3-day cancellation
period will not be honored. All refunds will be handled on a case by case basis.
- If there are any charges that are erroneously charged by RISE, a full refund will
be issued.
- Substitutions will not be honored. If a participant registers but then discovers
that they will not be able to attend the session, they must cancel their registration
for that particular session. They may not elect a representative to attend in their
stead. Waiting lists are in place for sessions that are full. When a seat opens
due to cancellation, the waiting list will be emailed and the position will be reserved
on a first responder basis.
- There will be no discrimination or discounts offered to student with regard to the
fee charged for non-attendance. Each session seat has a value of $20.
- Registrants may voluntarily elect to make a donation of $20 per session to the RISE
Scholarship Fund.
- Personal information related to credit card numbers and billing information provided
by RISE attendees will be held in our database and will not be shared under any
circumstance.
- In the unlikely event of the change of conference dates, times or venue, beyond
our control, all registrants will be notified well in advance. RISE session attendees
will not be charged the $20 fee if they are not able to attend the new proposed
date, time or location.
- In the unlikely event of cancellation of the conference, RISE session attendees
will not be charged the $20 fee per session.
- RISE session participants are responsible taking appropriate insurance cover in
connection with their attendance at RISE sessions. The conference organizers and
hosts, RISE staff or any individuals associated with the RISE session shall not
