Founder and CEO
In March, 2003 Rebecca Powers, along with a small group of women committed to making a positive change in the community, founded Impact Austin. The concept--brining women and their financial resources together to make a profound impact in Austin--was simple and inspirational. Impact Austin blended all of Rebecca's sales, people and leadership skills. The organization has put over $2,000,000 back in the community in the last seven years. Rebecca is a 1976 graduate of the Unversity of Richmond, Virginia, and holds a BS in Business Administration. Two weeks after graduation, she began her career as an IBM sales rep that lasted until 1990, when she retired. She is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Austin and was a McBee Fellow in 2008 with the Austin Area Research Organization.
