2008 Session:

Session Description – Top Ten Legal Mistakes Made by Entrepreneurs

In the form of a list of "top ten" legal mistakes often made by the unsuspecting or eager entrepreneur, we will discuss, often in the form of "war stories", the most critical issues typically faced by entrepreneurs in starting and running a business, including securities and intellectual property law issues. The goal of the presentation is to give entrepreneurs sufficient comfort with key legal concepts to help them feel confident in driving the early stage formation process and to understand the ways in which the law is a constraint and also a tool that can help you create and capture value.
