Business Success Center, Chief Operating Officer

Jan Triplett, Ph.D. is the Chief Operating Officer of the Business Success Center (BSC). It provides an individualized, practical Business Development Incubator and Owner Support program for owners who want to get their business under control to achieve stability or maximize growth. It provides action steps, monitors progress and ensures personal lifestyle goals to reduce the frustration and chaos of running and growing a small business. And, it produces measurable results using a matrix of required goals for each stage of business and area of business. It received a Level I award from the Austin Quality Council, was sited by the state of Texas for its program, and was selected as a national five-star model of excellence by the federal Small Business Administration (SBA).

Dr. Triplett is a Certified Technical Advisor for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition and a frequent keynote speaker and workshop presenter.

She is the author of A Networker’s Guide to Success. She was a moderator for KUT 's nationally syndicated “Next 200 Years”. Dr. Triplett has written articles and chapters on entrepreneuring, marketing, and business systems and was a co-researcher for Thinking Big, Staying Small communication best practices in small organizations for the International Association of Business Communicators.

Dr. Triplett was honored by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as the Small Business Advocate of the Year for Texas. She was Gov. Ann Richards appointed delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business and was a delegate to the Congressional Summit on Small Business.

She is the co-developer and co-instructor for several award-winning entrepreneurial and “intrapreneurial” programs, including the Owner’s MBA. She also was a co-researcher for
Dr. Triplett has received awards from the City of Austin, the Austin Chamber of Commerce, and others. She is also one of the three original founders of the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Texas.
