Session Description – How to turn your website into a lead and revenue generating machine

Driving traffic to your website is only half the battle. Your site also needs to be constructed to convert those visitors into leads or sales. This session will explore how to set goals for your website and how to maximize conversions to goal events like leads and sales.

I’ll cover some simple tips to improve conversions including increasing the usability of your lead forms and shopping cart systems, and creating landing pages for online marketing campaigns.

Finally, I’ll talk about Google Website Optimizer – a free tool that can help you run easy experiments on your website to find what works best for your company.

This session is a fit for companies of any size or industry that want to drive more sales and leads from their websites.

Alissa Ruehl is the Manager of Website Effectiveness Consulting at Apogee Search, recently announced as part of the 2008 INC 500 list & Austin Fast 50.

Prior to opening this new division, she managed the Paid Search department at Apogee for over three years, and during that time was personally involved in the management of paid search campaigns for over 100 companies, including Golfsmith, Lance Armstrong Foundation, PerkinElmer and St Jude Medical.

In Apogee's Website Effectiveness division, Alissa consults on landing page design & testing, conversion rate improvement, paid search strategy, as well as goal setting & metrics.

Alissa has spoken at events such as SES San Jose, SMX Advanced, SMX East, SMX West, Innotech, and multiple online webcasts.
