About the Speaker

Daniel Diener

Business Success Center, Owner, CFO

Daniel W. Diener is the Chief Financial Officer of the Business Success Center (BSC). In 2006, the federal Small Business Administration (SBA) honored him as Texas’ and the five-state region’s Financial Services Champion.

Mr. Diener is a Certified Technical Advisor for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition and a frequent speaker. He is the Austin SBA chapter’s Marketing Workshop presenter. He is also the co-developer of the award-winning "Owners MBA” course. In 1996, he spoke on entrepreneurship for the Nikkei Corp in Japan.

BSC began as a full service ad agency and owners of the Entrepreneurs’ Association. Currently, it provides an incubator and an accelerator program and turnaround services. It received a 5-star national program award from the federal SBA and a Greater Austin Quality Council Level I Award. The Austin Business Journal selected it as a top 20 management consulting firm. BSC is a City of Austin certified a “green business” and is a member of the Central TX Association of Guaranteed Government Lenders.

Along with partner/wife Jan Triplett, Ph.D., he successfully mapped business tasks from Idea Stage to Transference, Business Navigation Matrix. They also are authors of the BSC OnCourse Business Assessment™?, OnCourse Business Glossary and Power Processes for Business Success and other articles.

He was an elected delegate of the National Federation of Independent Business to the 1995 White House Conference on Small Business. He has been recognized by the Austin City Council, the Austin Chamber, and American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).

Diener served on the North Central Area Council and Communications Council for the Austin Chamber and was VP of the Austin chapter of ASTD. He has served on the Governor’s Small Business Advisory Board of the TX Department of Economic Development. Currently, he is a volunteer for the local SBA chapter and serves on the Students Involved in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Board.
