Session Description – Strategies for Bootstrapping a New Publication

Launching a new publication isn't impossible in this economy. In fact, there are more ways than ever for getting your magazine or other publication off the ground. In this session we'll present insider information, new strategies, and new ideas for starting a publication from scratch or for improving the publication you now have. We'll share what we know about content, circulation, distribution, advertising, printing (or not printing) and readership, plus talk about the resources you'll need for the launch. We"ll share 25+ years of combined experience in publications and online content - both as on-staff and freelance contributors - including lots of real-world, hands-on experience.
