About the Speaker

Phillip Wilhite

Corporate Investment, Managing Director

Mr. Wilhite serves as Managing Director of the Austin office, and brings an owner’s perspective to the fields of M & A and corporate finance. He acquired a small wholesale distribution company, and over a twelve year period expanded the operation into sixteen states, becoming the fifth largest distributor in his industry. Prior to that he was the CFO of a regional construction and real estate development company.
After Corporate Investment completed the sale of his distribution operation, Phillip and his partner acquired Corporate Investment, a leading Central Texas mergers and acquisitions firm serving middle market businesses. Corporate Investment has five professionals, and has completed transactions up to $50,000,000 in value.
Mr. Wilhite has deal making experience in manufacturing, distribution, professional services, commercial printing, specialty contracting, real estate hospitality, and others.

Mr. Wilhite earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. Phillip is a Certified Public Accountant, and worked on the audit staff of Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouse Coopers) for four years.

Mr. Wilhite holds the Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) and Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designations from the International Business Brokers Association. Mr. Wilhite also holds a Texas Real Estate Salesman license.

Mr Wilhite is an active member of the International Business Brokers Association,
M & A Source, and the Texas Association of Business Brokers. He currently serves on the M & A Expo committee of M & A Source, working with Private Equity Groups.
