Lee E. Potts' practice focuses primarily on corporate and securities matters. Mr. Potts represents a wide variety of local, national and global clients in many different industries, including private and public technology companies and private and public equity investors. He has counseled companies and investors in angel, venture capital and mezzanine financing transactions, private securities offerings, initial public offerings, other public securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, debt financing, technology transfer and licensing arrangements, joint ventures and strategic alliances, public tender offers and other business transactional matters.

Mr. Potts has advised companies on organization, capital structure, stock incentive programs, board meetings and governance of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other business entities, litigation risk management, and federal and state securities law compliance and disclosure.

Mr. Potts received his B.B.A. in accounting in 1993, his M.P.A. in taxation in 1993 and his J.D. in 1999 from the University of Texas. He has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 1999 and a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Texas since 1993. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Austin Young Lawyers Association. In addition, Mr. Potts serves on the board of directors of CASA of Travis County and provides pro bono legal services to Texas C-Bar and the University of Texas Community Development Clinic.
