Karrie League is co-founder of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and co-owner of the Austin Alamo Drafthouse theaters. She moved to Austin in 1996 with her husband, Tim, in order to open the first theater on Colorado Street. having recently reduced her responsibilities towards the day-to-day operations of the theater, she is now involved with several organizations including the Austin School of Film, Austin Voices for Education, and Austin Film Society.
